Agricultural Support


The Agriculture Sector Working Group (ASWG) provides a forum for dialogue by bringing together Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA) and Development Partner (DP) representatives involved in the Agriculture sector. Sector group dialogue spans strategic planning, performance monitoring and harmonization of agreements. The sector group is chaired by the Government sector lead and co-chaired by the DP sector lead, and reaches out to involve civil society and parliamentary representatives.

Population Based Survey


Ghana is a priority country within the U.S. Government’s Feed the Future (FtF) Initiative which has the overarching goal to sustainably reduce global poverty and hunger. Detailed baseline information was needed to inform and guide decision makers in the development and planning of programs within USAID defined Zone of Influence (ZOI). This ZOI encompasses the districts above Gahna's 8th parallel, i.e., parts of the Brong Ahafo Region, and Northern, Upper West, and Upper East regions. The ZOI's population is near 5.17 million.

Monitoring & Reporting


The nature of work performed by METSS may be organized into two broad categories (M&E and TSS). The M&E (monitoring and evaluation) component of its work focuses on monitoring the activities of organizations (called implementing partners, IPs) that have received funding from USAID/Ghana EG Office. Thus, METSS directly assists in ensuring that IP activities are in line with their program’s objectives and statements of work.
